Seattle's Pacific Science Center: Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

The 8th grade girls and I took off on the bus again this morning...this time the #8...and headed down in the pouring rain to the Seattle Center, home of the 1964 World's Fair, and now a favorite tourist spot for Seattle visitors.

I sat with Katherine and Natali on the bus, grateful for the opportunity to dry out a bit. Natali pointed out all the sites of interest in downtown Seattle as we cruised along. I was so excited to see the famous Seattle Space Needle that I jumped for joy!

Once at the Pacific Science Center we checked out the dinosaurs and then attended the various exhibits and visited the Live Performances.

I must admit, I did get in a bit of trouble when I broke one of the Science Center rules. Good thing the girls were there to plead my case with the security officers!

On the way home I hung out with Isabelle "Izzy" Evans. She told me all about her grandpa, Dan Evans, who used to be the governor of the State of Washington! How cool is that?
