My Going Away Party on Mercer Island, New Year's Eve, 2009

On New Year's Eve, the family gathered to bid me a fond farewell! We had a luncheon at Covenant Shores on Mercer Island - where "Great-Great" (Great-grandma Jolly) and Papa David live...on the shores of Lake Washington. I was thrilled to meet "Cousin Patti" - the oldest living member of the "Cook Family" - Grandma Jolly's clan. Patti, age 89, is one of Grandpa David's favorites!


Uncle George Cook, Great-grandma Jolly's "baby" brother with his cousin, Patti Cook Kirkdoffer. I so enjoyed listening to their stories of the "good old days!"


How sad I felt to have to say goodbye to Grandma Sally, Grandpa David, Great-grandma Jolly and Papa David (Wolter)! Hopefully I can return in spring when Ryan and his family pay a visit to the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
